Values

While as a group, we do not subscribe to one particular parenting philosophy, many of us are informed by Hand In Hand, RIE and Attachment Parenting.

The glue that really holds us together is a desire for community and an appreciation for generosity, kindness and good humor.

OUR SHARED VALUES

jenn-evelyn-ann-112980-unsplashCommunity- We believe that when our community is thriving, we all benefit.  We value supporting one another through generosity and kindness as a community of friends raising our children together on this mountain.

Respect- We see children as unique individuals and respect their authentic expression of emotions as well as their ability to problem solve and learn with our support.

Nature Connection- We believe nature connection and outdoor play are fundamental to a child’s healthy development and take advantage of opportunities to explore and learn about the natural environment, together.

Healthy Food- We strive to feed ourselves and our children mostly organic, whole foods as this is central to our understanding of nurturing healthy bodies and minds.

Non-Judgement- We do not assume that what is right for our family is right for everyone’s family.  Therefore we withhold from judging other families for their personal parenting choices.  We trust that each family is making the best and right choices for their child.
